Cuts and styling

Precision Haircut & Styling

A haircut that still looks right three weeks later, without a round brush and half an hour of mirror work. We map your growth pattern, cut to the shape of your head, then show you how to finish it the same way at home.

What you get

A cut built around your head, not a trend

Most disappointing haircuts come from a good shape cut onto the wrong head. Before the scissors come out we look at how your hair falls, where it thickens, and which side fights you in the morning. That takes about ten minutes and it saves a lot of grief.

Everything is cut dry at the end so we can see the finished line rather than guessing at it through wet hair. You leave knowing which product goes where, and we write the formula down so the next visit starts where this one stopped.

  • Growth-pattern mapping before the first cut
  • Dry finishing so the shape is checked as it dries
  • Written notes so your next appointment picks up cleanly
  • A five-minute styling walkthrough you can actually repeat

Why it works

Three things we do differently

Nothing here is exotic. It is just that each step gets the time it needs instead of being rushed to fit another booking in.

Sectioned by hand

Hair gets parted into working sections that follow your natural fall, so the weight lands where it should instead of pulling sideways.

Point-cutting the ends

Blunt lines get softened at the tips only. You keep the body through the mid-lengths and lose the heavy shelf that makes fine hair collapse.

Notes kept on file

Length, sectioning order and product amounts are written down after every visit. Second appointments take less time because we are not re-learning your hair.

Our Process

How the appointment runs

Roughly fifty minutes from the door to the mirror. Here is the order, so nothing feels like a surprise.

01

The sit-down

We talk through what you want, what you have had before and what went wrong last time. No scissors yet.

02

Hair and head check

We feel the density, look at the crown and cowlicks, and note where the hairline sits.

03

The wash

A shampoo matched to your scalp, then a towel and a comb through while the hair is still damp.

04

Rough shape

The bulk comes off first. This is where the silhouette gets decided.

05

Dry detailing

The hair is dried and the final line cut with the shape visible. This step is why the cut holds.

06

Mirror and notes

You see the back, we run through styling, and your notes go on file.

FAQ

Questions people ask before booking

If yours is not here, call the salon and we will answer it in a minute.

Dry, always. Wet curls shrink and hide their real length, so cutting them wet is guesswork. We shape each section as it sits.

Most cuts hold their shape for six to eight weeks. Shorter styles need a tidy around week four, which is what the Refresh price is for.

Usually, yes, though sometimes the honest answer is to grow a section out for a few weeks first. We will tell you which it is at the consultation.

No. Come as you are. We wash before cutting anyway, and seeing your hair in its normal state is useful.

Cancellations inside twelve hours cost half the appointment. Life happens, so call us and we will usually work something out.

From about age six, when a child can sit still for half an hour. Under that, a barber with a quicker chair is a better bet.
