What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It is not a program and it cannot read other files on your device. We use a handful of them on spimori.com, and this page lists every one.
The cookies we set
- spimori_cookie_pref_v1 remembers whether you pressed Accept or Decline on the cookie notice. It lasts until you clear your browser storage.
- Session cookie keeps the booking form working while you move between pages. It expires when you close the browser.
- Analytics cookie counts visits to pages like the two service pages so we know what people look at. It is only set after you accept, and it stores no name or email.
There is no advertising cookie on this site, and no cookie that follows you onto other websites.
What happens if you decline
Declining hides the notice and blocks the analytics cookie from being set. The booking form still works, because the session cookie is needed for it to function and is treated as essential. Your choice is stored so the notice does not reappear on every visit.
The only way to remove that stored choice is to clear site data in your browser settings. Once cleared, the notice will appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently.
Cookies from other companies
Two parts of this site load code from elsewhere. The map on the contact page comes from Google Maps and may set its own cookies once it loads. The fonts are served from a font delivery network, which records the request for its own logs.
Our booking platform sets cookies when you open the scheduling window. Those are controlled by that provider and described in their own policy, not in this one.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings, usually under Privacy or Site Data. Blocking all cookies will stop the booking form from holding your details between steps, so you would need to complete it in one go or book by phone.
